About us

✦ Who we are

We work with individuals with developmental disabilities, along with the families and caregivers who support them.

All Ways Journeys is designed for people who want to travel in a way that feels safe, calm, and genuinely enjoyable, without being rushed or overwhelmed.

Our trips are a great fit for individuals who:

  • Want to travel but benefit from additional support

  • Thrive with clear routines and thoughtful pacing

  • Prefer smaller groups or individualized experiences

  • Value familiarity, preparation, and consistency

  • Feel most comfortable when plans are flexible and responsive

We collaborate closely with families and caregivers so each trip aligns with individual goals, needs, and existing supports.

✦ A note on support and planning

Every trip is planned collaboratively. We take time to understand each person’s needs, preferences, and existing supports before confirming any details.

We do not group by labels or levels. Support is matched individually, and plans are adjusted as needed so each person can travel comfortably, confidently, and at their own pace.

✦ Our story

All Ways Journeys began because of my brother, Galo.

Galo has a developmental disability, and being part of his life has shaped how I understand support, patience, and what it really means to meet someone where they are. Over the years, I’ve seen how thoughtful planning, clear communication, and trust can make the difference between an experience that feels overwhelming and one that feels safe and meaningful.

As I spent more time caring for Galo, I began to notice how many experiences, including travel, are not designed with that level of care in mind. Even well-intended trips can become stressful when pacing is rushed, expectations are unclear, or support is treated as an add-on instead of a foundation.

All Ways Journeys was created from the belief that travel can be gentler, more personal, and more human. With the right preparation and the right support, people can explore new places in ways that feel calm, respectful, and genuinely enjoyable.

This work is deeply personal, but it’s also grounded in hospitality and intention. Every trip is designed with care, flexibility, and connection at its core, so individuals feel supported, understood, and free to experience the world in a way that feels right for them.

Galo is always curious, always ready to explore, and food is one of our favorite ways to experience a place.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • All trips are personally supervised by Christian, the founder of All Ways Journeys.

Christian is supported by a small, consistent team of professional caregivers whose primary work is supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Team members have extensive experience working with Regional Center participants and supporting a wide range of needs, routines, and communication styles.

For select trips, or when appropriate based on participant needs, additional professional support such as a licensed medical provider may also be included. Support is always planned intentionally and matched to each group.

  • Support is present throughout the experience and adapts as needed. This may include help with transitions, communication, routines, or simply providing a steady, familiar presence. The level of support is agreed on during planning and can be adjusted as the trip unfolds.

  • Before confirming any trip, we spend time getting to know the individual, their preferences, routines, and support needs. Our goal is to make sure the experience feels comfortable and appropriate for everyone involved. If something doesn’t feel like the right fit, we’ll talk through alternatives together.

  • Flexibility is built into every journey. Participation in activities is always optional, and plans can shift based on energy levels, comfort, or unexpected needs. We prioritize well-being over sticking to a schedule.

  • Getting started begins with a conversation. Reach out through the contact form and we’ll set up time to talk through interests, questions, and possibilities. From there, we’ll explore whether an upcoming trip or a custom experience makes sense.
